還記得上次的史坦蓋茲與吉貝托<Getz & Gilberto>音樂會嗎？其實在這張專輯中，還包含了當時正活躍的巴西爵士 - 波薩諾瓦作曲家安東尼奧，卡洛斯，裘賓的作品及演奏，他的作品依然在深深地影響著世界各地、各種風格的音樂家。
這一次我們邀請到和聲學的魔法師 - Andy Jaffe (美國伯克利音樂學院、威廉斯學院音樂系教授、爵士和聲Jazz Harmony作者) 、擁有美國古典及爵士雙學位的薩克斯風演奏家林奕銘、活躍於世界舞台的鼓手根石大輔以及國內少有彈奏巴西七弦吉他的演奏家彭書禹和我們一起探索這些經典作品，也將演奏部分Aivee曾獲提名的「藍色早晨」中文波薩諾瓦專輯作品。
Our last performance at Yuppy Bookstore featured music from the classic album Getz & Gilberto. The man who contributed many stunning songs on that album and who still is influencing musicians all around the world is Antonio Carlos Jobim. For our next performance on November 24 we will invite the magician of harmony – pianist Andy Jaffe, classical and jazz saxophonist Iming Lin, versatile drummer Dafu, and Brazillian 7-string guitarist Bruce Peng. Please join us as we play some of the great Jobim compositions and also share the thoughts and music in Aivee's award nominated album "Blue Morning".

Aivee is a vocalist, guitarist, singer/songwriter. Her main style is in jazz and bossa nova. Her original Jazz Bossa Nova album “Blue Morning” has been released in December 2018, then received a nomination of CMIC Music Award – Best Album of Jazz Vocalist. And an English version followed in February 2019.
Her composition also awarded and been selected to presented in album “Singing from the South”, 2013, Best Vocalist of the New String Award 2008.
Aivee studied at Berklee College of Music, Boston in the year of 2015, polished her performance and composition from Carrie Cheron and Jane Miller.

自2015 年伯克利音樂學院期間，結識多位來自世界各地的音樂家，前往各地場館和音樂節演出，包含Berklee Performance Center, 波士頓Sunset Cafe, Blues Bash!藍調音樂節, 朱家角水鄉音樂節等。求學時師事古典聲樂家 Carie Cheron 及爵士吉他演奏家 Jane Miller。
除了遊走玩味著自小喜愛的爵士風格歌曲，形塑其獨特的演唱技巧及聲音表現，熱愛創作的她亦將波薩諾瓦(Bossa Nova)律動寫入自己的故事，2013年時以創作曲Mess Up the Company 參加公視節目「音樂創世紀」錄影，並取得唯一全場滿分之最高紀錄。 2016 年底以其台語創作曲「思念」於高雄夢時代跨年主場中演唱，於電視螢幕及萬人現場展現其獨特的聲線及創作。她能使用中文、 台語和英文進行創作。2018 年時，與現正活躍於紐約的巴西籍製作人Flavio Lira發起，集合多位國內外活躍的爵士演奏家，完成其國語及英語波薩諾瓦原創專輯「藍色早晨 / Blue Morning」並獲 CMA 音樂獎最佳人聲爵士專輯提名。2021 年末加入全球排名的 12 之 Barbershop 阿卡貝拉樂團，並與團員取得區域大賽冠軍。
目前Aivee 仍然深深愛著巴西律動，師事巴西歌手 Vanessa Falabella, 持續精進其演唱巴西葡萄牙文歌曲的深度及廣度。 熱愛現場演出的她將來自不同文化中獲得的啟發，在自由的音樂中與聽眾分享。

鋼琴 Piano｜Andy Jaffe
美國鋼琴家Andy Jaffe致力於爵士樂教育，曾獲國際爵士教育組織IAJE頒發「爵士教育傑出貢獻獎」。於Williams College創立爵士音樂課程，後擔任其爵士系主任長達27年，也曾於Berklee College of Music等知名音樂學院任教超過5年，教授眾多音樂學子，包括Branford Marsalis、Wallace Roney、Max Roach、Bill Barron、王力宏等。編著無數爵士樂理著作，其生平甚至被登錄於Lewis Porter出版的爵士音樂家辭典。Andy Jaffe之爵士樂著作 “Jazz Harmony” 更被選為幾乎各大爵士樂系所必備的教材，成為最有影響力的爵士樂教育出版之一。
專注於Duke Ellinton、John Coltrane等爵士名人的樂理研究，Andy Jaffe 的鋼琴演奏處處可聞那爵士樂黃金年代中，重視和聲部均衡、流暢而優雅的紳士風格。Andy Jaffe之個人創作包括集結他眾多學生Brandford Marsalis、Wallace Roney等推出的《Manhattan Projections》、《An Imperfect Storm》以及2016年發行之最新專輯《Arc》等。

Andy has been a leader in jazz pedagogy for forty years, having taught at the Berklee College of Music (1977-81); The Institut Musical de formation Professionelle in Nimes, France (1984); The University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Graduate program in Afro-American Music and Jazz (1994-98); Amherst College (1987-99); Tufts University (1991-93); Smith College (1997-99); The Tainan (Taiwan) National University of the Arts (2009 and 2014), as well as at Williams (since 1989), where, besides directing the Jazz ensembles until 2013, he taught courses in jazz ear training, theory/improvisation, arranging/composition, on the music of Duke Ellington and John Coltrane, and the music of Brazil. In addition, he is a founding faculty member at The Vermont College of Fine Arts low residency Masters program in Music Composition and the Impact Music Program at the Taipei (Taiwan) Arts University (國立臺北藝術大學)Impact Music Program.
His most recent CD, entitled “Chorinhoso”, is a compilation of his original Brazilian influenced compositions released in 2020 on the Playscape Label, about which its Downbeat review said: “Jaffe’s orchestrations are lush and impeccably voiced…their harmonic weightiness is balanced by the ethereal lucidity of a rhythm section that understands Brazilian Music.” His penultimate effort, “Arc”, featured his original compositions and has received positive reviews and extensive airplay since its release in April 2016. Musicians on both efforts include the late Wallace Roney (Trumpet), Jimmy Greene and Kris Allen (Saxophones), John Clark (French Horn), Bruce Williamson (Soprano Saxophone and Bass Clarinet), the composer’s son (and protégé of Ron Carter) Marty Jaffe on Bass, Jonathan Barber on Drums, and on “Arc” the Interestring Quartet from Taipei.

七弦吉他 7-String Guitar｜彭書禹 Bruce
吉他手/製作人。擅長拉丁風格吉他演奏、作曲和編曲。為台灣第一支專門演奏巴西音樂的 ChoroFun樂團創始人之一及現任團長。於流行音樂領域，為金曲獎歌手以莉·高露的專輯編曲 並錄音，並多次於國際音樂節上演出。2021年以《Bossa Zoo》專輯獲得為第 32 屆傳藝金曲獎的 「最佳跨界音樂專輯」和「最佳製作人」獎提名。目前於臺北藝術大學擔任講師。經常邀請國內外優秀音樂家舉辦巴西音樂工作坊。
A versatile musician, renowned for his mastery of the Latin-style guitar, composition, and arrangement. He is one of the founder and the current leader of ChoroFun, Taiwan's pioneering band specializing in Brazilian music. Within the realm of popular music, he has contributed his expertise in arranging and recording to albums by renowned singer Ilid Kaolo, and has performed extensively at international music festivals. In 2021, his album "Bossa Zoo" received nominations for the "Best Crossover Music Album" and "Best Producer" awards at the 32nd Golden Melody Awards. Currently, he serves as a lecturer for the MIT program at Taipei National University of the Arts. He frequently invites exceptional musicians to conduct Brazilian music workshops.
薩克斯風 Saxophone｜林奕銘
畢業於台北實踐大學音樂系。國防部示範樂隊退伍後獲獎學金至美國波士頓伯克利音樂學院進修，主修爵士樂演奏。2017年獲獎學金至費城藝術大學進修，於2019年從碩士班爵士樂組畢業，同年“林奕銘爵士四重奏”獲選『誠品推薦團隊』，於八月發行個人第一張原創專輯“The Road Ahead”，並在10月入選費城Live Center Stage Jazz Competition決賽團隊。
2021年於紐澤西州立羅文大學(Rowan University)獲得古典薩克斯風演奏碩士文憑。2022年入選王道銀行『堤頂之星』，同年出版個人第一份樂譜“三十六首爵士練習曲”。
林奕銘曾擔任米特薩克斯風重奏團爵士即興課程講師，現任龍潭愛樂、文欣國小薩克斯風講師。2021年返台後與國內知名鋼琴演奏家許聰義組成『聰銘雙重奏』，致力於演出原創作品。2022、2023年在台北、台中爵士音樂節參與多個樂團演出。曾多次與2019年金曲獎最佳男歌手Leo Wang合作，並參與大嘻哈時代2節目演出。
Iming Lin is a saxophonist and composer, from Taipei, Taiwan. He studied classical saxophone at Chinese Culture University and Shih Chien University. After completing military service in 2013, Lin received the scholarship to attend Berklee college of Music to pursue his jazz studies and graduated in 2017 with a Diploma in Jazz Performance. At same year, Lin received the scholarship from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and graduated in 2019 with a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies. He has released his debut album “The Road Ahead” in 2019 summer. In 2019 Fall, Lin has been selected as a finalist of PHL Jazz competition in Philadelphia, PA, USA.
In 2021, Lin obtained a master's degree in classical saxophone performance from Rowan University, Glassboro, NJ, USA. He is one of the very few amphibious saxophonists in Taiwan. He has performed in major jazz venues, festivals and actively promoted jazz music education. Lin is a former lecturer in the Jazz Improvisation Course of the MIT Saxophone Ensemble. In 2022, Lin published his very first music book “36 Jazz Etudes’’.

Graduated from the University of Minnesota in US / Graduated from the music school MI(Musicians Institute) in Los Angeles as an Honor student and become an assistant instructor of the school also started music activity in the LA area.
After returning to Japan, became a teacher of the Ml Japan Nagoya school. Came to Taiwan in 2003.
So far inTaiwan have played at the National Concert Hall, National Theater, CKS Memorial Hall, National Foundation Day concert, Taichung Jazz Festival, Taipei Jazz Festival, World Music Festival etc. In US have played at the BB King’s, City University of New York, Flushing Town Hall in NY etc. In Japan have played at the Jirokichi club, Blue Mood in Tokyo, Ogikubo Rooster in Tokyo, Younger Than Yesterday in Yokosuka, Miya Jazz Inn Festival, Slow Blues in Nagoya etc. Also have played in Hong Kong, Beijing, Indonesia, Korea, Thailand, Singapore etc. So far played with the world famous bassist Nathan East, Grammy Award singer Hazel Payne, Grammy Award Violinist Jamie Szmadzinski, world famous guitarist Jack Lee, The Queen of the blues KoKo Tayler band’s guitarist Shun Kikuta, World famous saxophonist James Carter, World famous keyboardist Jeff Lorber, World famous guitarist Jeff Richman, Legendary Maori tribe singer Whirimako Black, Famous Indonesian singer Sandhy Sondoro, Ex IBC Champion Ken”Snowman Minahan, Ex IBC Champion Joey Gilmore, Boogie master Mitch Woods, Argentina blues master Gabriel Gratzer, Slovakian blues master Peter Radvanyi, Blues harp master Matthew Kelly, West coast blues master Rich Harper etc.
